Informed by Pennsylvania’s approach. Designed for Wilson County.
Pennsylvania’s Certified Hunter Program offers a relevant model for structured screening, landowner usage guides and reporting. Harvest Wilson proposes adapting those design principles to Tennessee; local effectiveness has not yet been demonstrated.
Shared design principles
Pennsylvania’s Certified Hunter Program describes application review, a written exam, shooting qualification and other eligibility requirements, alongside landowner control, land usage guides and reporting. These are design references, not adopted Harvest Wilson screening standards.
Different administration
Pennsylvania’s program is administered by its Game Commission. Harvest Wilson proposes independent local coordination; it has no agency affiliation or endorsement and no authority to certify legal eligibility.
Tennessee-specific requirements
Participation must comply with current Tennessee regulations. Program participation and farmer permission grant no additional hunting authority. Special wildlife-damage permits are separate from ordinary-season hunting.
Effectiveness remains to be measured
The cited program description does not establish evaluated crop-loss reductions. Harvest Wilson’s local effectiveness has not yet been demonstrated; procedures, review milestones and launch timing remain proposed.
