WHY WE EXIST

A healthier relationship with the land.

Deer are part of Wilson County’s landscape and heritage. When their numbers concentrate on working farms, the cost lands on a few families. Harvest Wilson turns that shared challenge into coordinated, accountable action: protect Wilson County farms, responsibly manage deer, create responsible hunting access, and turn harvested wildlife into food for neighbors in need.

We are not a hunting marketplace, and we are not a lease service. We are a farmer-first coordination model: a farm documents its need, the proposed program would coordinate screened hunters, every visit is scheduled and reported, and the outcome is measured.

Program estimates are planning tools. They are not scientific population counts, and we do not claim that any single harvest causes a specific reduction in crop loss. What we can do is document effort honestly and learn season over season.

01

Protect agriculture

Farmers decide when, where and who. Every access plan begins with the landowner’s goals, rules and comfort.

02

Manage wildlife

Harvest is coordinated around observed pressure and management objectives—not trophies or volume.

03

Mobilize hunters

Proposed screening reviews safety, experience and landowner conduct. Current legal eligibility and separate farmer approval remain required.

04

Feed Wilson

Voluntary donation is a secondary benefit, subject to processor acceptance, funding and food-network capacity.

05

Measure impact

Effort, observations, harvest and donations are recorded so the program can learn what works.

PEOPLE. LAND. WILDLIFE. COMMUNITY.

The land gives us plenty.
What we do with it matters.
